A Phoenix Rising from the Ashes

It represents transformation, death, and rebirth in its fire.

As a powerful spiritual totem, the phoenix is the ultimate symbol of strength and renewal.

As we go through a difficult experience, it feels like we are on fire.  Some people will be consumed by the flame.  It’s easy to feel incapacitated, unable to move in any direction.  Maybe we blame ourselves or we start to give up even more of our power and blame others.  Either way, neither of these is helpful.  Some people will even die, even if its within themselves.  That is not an option for US!  We have to be RE-MINDED that we are strong, capable and dynamic.

Not only is there a way out….there is a way UP.

Some things I learned to help me rise:

First of all, it’s OK to fall apart.  Go ahead, cry, get it out.  Have the pity party.  God knows it’s helped me.

We live in a culture that poo-poo’s showing your emotions.  One thing we must learn as a society is that we have emotions for a reason and we must honor them.  Just don’t get stuck in those emotions.

When things fall apart, at least we know what we DON’T want.  So, we turn attention away from it.  We, instead, turn our attention to what we do want.  I want each of you to get crystal clear on what it is you want.  Did you ever watch children use their imagination?  They get laser-focused and usually get whatever they want.  They don’t pay attention to what they don’t want, once they figure out what it is they do want.  They are the ultimate manifestors.

It might be easier said than done, but I suggest you RELAX.  Seriously, just take a deep breath and relax.  You cannot create something beautiful when you are in a state of lack or confusion.

Finally, follow your heart.  See what feels good and follow it.  If it doesn’t feel good, stay away from it.  Learn to listen to and follow those emotions.  They are your guides into creating a more powerful life.

What defines a champion is not always winning.  It’s rising after a defeat.

When life seems to be falling apart, it may actually be falling into place.
